DIRECTV was a sponsor of the FACIUNI Short Film Scholarship Contest. This film contest gives 4 student filmmakers (3 from Latin America and 1 from the U.S.) the opportunity to attend the Warner Brothers Summer Program at USC School of Cinematic Arts. Exclusive screenings of the winning films were hosted in L.A., Dallas, Phoenix, D.C., Miami, and New York during Hispanic Heritage Month.
The film screening in Phoenix showcased five short films to recognize these talented student filmmakers. In attendance at the screening was Made In Her Image, a non-profit dedicated to the advancement of young girls and women in film, media and technology. AT&T is supporting their efforts to create and shape the film pioneers and revolutionaries of tomorrow.
